Successfully creating and sustaining an engaging learning environment is ultimately dependent upon the skills and competencies of the individual educator.

Furthermore, the challenging task of educating our children has become more complex in recent years. Our rapidly changing world is demanding that educators teach to standards, provide individual learning plans and performance-based assessments, and demonstrate compliance through the use of electronic portfolios. TaskStream effectively integrates these disparate demands throughout K-12 and pre-service learning communities.

TaskStream is crafted to anticipate the growing needs of the individual educator, and the learning community as a whole, to facilitate the coordination of these requirements in creating a more engaging and purposeful learning environment.

The TaskStream collaborative web-based productivity tools for organizing and managing shared practices through electronic portfolio and web page creation, instructional design, and professional development provide learning communities with the tools and infrastructure to systemically advance their initiatives through to classroom implementation.

TaskStream provides learning communities and individual educators with instructional design, collaboration, and portfolio management that saves them valuable time and directly benefits performance in the classroom. The tools are fully integrated and divided into five main groups:

TaskStream now includes an online portfolio assessment system to facilitate teacher candidate evaluation and institutional accreditation. This adaptable system provides the solution for managing, evaluating, and assessing electronic portfolios. Assessment data can be organized and aggregated for individual certification and institutional accreditation support.

The Web Folio Builder and the Web Page Builder provide K-12 and college/university educators with the means to create and publish electronic portfolios and personal web pages. Educators also create course or classroom home pages through which they can distribute materials and resources to their students while university and college students use these tools to compile and display their work.

Integrated instructional design tools -Standards Manager, Unit Builder, Lesson Builder, Standards Wizard, and Rubric Wizard - help educators create or adapt standards-based curriculum and build powerful assessment rubrics.

The Mybrary provides educators with the tools to efficiently organize all of their instructional materials as well as to create curriculum resources or portfolios of exemplary work that can be shared for review with an advisor or with a potential employer. TaskStream's Cybrary, an online resource library, includes searchable databases of lesson plans, standards, tutorials, and educational web sites.

Common workspaces and dynamic organizational tools structure collaboration between the Authors as they share their work with their Reviewers/Mentors for comments and feedback in the My Programs area. A dedicated e-mail system, instant messaging, threaded discussions, and the ability to post targeted announcements and calendar events also facilitates easy online communication between Authors and Reviewers/Mentors.

The TS-Coordinator provides program coordinators with a set of online tools to initiate, manage, support, and evaluate programs and workshops.
